Admissions in coaching are negotiated. A sibling discount, a scholarship, a family paying in four instalments instead of two — each is agreed in a conversation and recorded, if at all, as a note.

What happens in month four

A reminder goes out based on the standard schedule. The family says they agreed something different. The counsellor who agreed it has left or does not recall precisely. The institute either concedes or damages the relationship, and both are avoidable.

The record is the whole fix

Not a stricter policy. Recording the agreement — amount, dates, reason for any concession — at the moment it is made, against the student. It takes a minute at admission and removes the entire class of dispute later.

The number it unlocks

Expected collections by date, which an institute with negotiated fees genuinely cannot produce otherwise. That figure drives whether a new batch can be staffed, and running it on the standard schedule overstates it every time.
